what should an agent remember, what should it forget, and how can its internal story be checked against what the system actually did?
working memory and long-term memory sit apart from attention, consolidation, tools, and conversation history, while traces show how those parts affect each other.
i only want autonomy when permissions are explicit and every new access request explains why it needs them.
